Our goal was to design a search experience that empowers patients to make confident choices about their healthcare using synthesized quality scores and transparent pricing information.

/ Market Analysis

By assessing healthcare search tools on the market, we identified core elements that drive effective navigation for users.

The team focused on the search and provider profiles to explore how Faros Health ENLIGHT’s analytics, cost data, and ratings could be integrated to deliver a high-value experience.

/ PRODUCT FLOW

With guidance from the Faros Health team, we drafted a user flow to map a patient’s journey from their employer portal to contacting a healthcare provider.

This flow not only clarified the number of steps required to reach key goals but also served as a sitemap, illustrating how features fit together across the platform.

/ Concept

Conceptualization translated research-driven insights into a visual and interaction direction. We focused on what data mattered and where it should appear to guide decision-making.

Early wireframes and mood explorations established a hierarchy and structure that prioritized clarity, confidence, and actionable information throughout the platform.

/ Design Process

Design work began with responsive web then evolved into native iOS and Android experiences.

Proper design hand-off with an overseas development team was key, ensuring designs met acceptance criteria and user stories were tied to prototypes to illustrate interaction design.

After building an MVP, additional features like favoriting and a resource library were iteratively introduced.

The mobile redesign included its own market analysis and layout adjustments to create a mobile-first experience, which then informed refinements to the web version for a consistent cross-platform product.

/ Outcome

The platform was developed alongside Faros Health’s efforts to pitch the product to investors and onboard customers.

Tight deadlines required designs and prototypes to be both presentation-ready and dev-ready. Having delivered a solution that supports with their vision and goals, Faros Health confidently showcased the product to secure customers and investors.

Its evolution will continue to be guided by user feedback, ensuring it meets patient needs as the platform grows.
